The True American Classic
Vince Gilligan's Pluribus

In an era of a TV renaissance, we're seeing such great swinging-for-the-fences batshit crazy television that almost exceeds the excellence of today's cinema, which is truly an anomalous phenomenon historically speaking.
Vince Gilligan's new TV show on Apple TV+ called "Pluribus" is another installment in this era of great TV.
I got to thinking that if there's anything you can use to describe this show, it would be the dramatic proverb "true American classic".
Understanding the term is important. What makes a cultural relic a true American classic is not only if it perfectly represents the quintessential aspects of the American experience but also the ideological contentions, dilemmas and history that America represents.
The fight against ideas of a "Pluribus"(many) as being evil in nature and a threat to one's autonomy and individualism: the true American classics.
"Your life is your own".
Pluribus is the exploration of this dilemma. How noble is this right of difference and resistance in the face of oneness and egalitarianism?
Tune in every Friday to see.
An absolute treat.
Ok, but what if you don't care about all that? Is it a fun show?
It's mysterious thrilling Sci-Fi madness that quenches the thirst of someone who might've loved anything from The Leftovers to Severance. We're talking apocalyptic ambience with planes, hot models and hand grenades blowing up houses. It's a very enjoyable show with an even more enjoyable performance of Rhea Seehorn as the lead.
It represents the world of today: "A show made by humans"(as written in post credits) for humans about what it's like to be human (as some people might’ve forgotten while being too busy inventing almost-humans these days).
It doesn't spoon feed you anything besides this enjoyable madness. Everything is left upto the audience to have a conversation with.
